Chatham, Kent
11.10.2009
Hello,
My name is X, (removed for security) and
I Iive in Chatham, Kent.
I would like to pass on this experience I
had on Saturday 11th October 2009 at approx.
11pm.
As I reached the window in my bedroom to close the
curtains I saw a sight that I cannot explain. In the sky
at some height were 3
bright orange "orbs" that were lined
upwards, fairly close together , with
another 3
starting to form a "V" formation such as birds do and there was
another smaller "orb" to the left. Coming from the right ,
at spaced intervals,
were about another ten
which went [at a steady speed] upwards at an angle
to
"join" the others on the lower part of the "V" formation and over a
matter of approx. 20minutes they all disappeard into the
upper atmosphere.There
was also no sound. I do not
have a mobile phone with a camera and , as
I did not
know how long what I was looking at would last ,I ran to get a
telephone and rang my son to relate to him what I was
seeing as it was
happening.
As my son and I are not believers
in aliens we have looked on the internet for any
similar reports and found
your website, hence this
email.
Apparently there are a lot of
sightings similar to mine, that have been reported
over the years , even
two this weekend , one in UK and one
the USA.
These sightings seem to be attributed mostly to
Chinese Lanterns. Having looked at these on the internet
this certainly seems a
fair comment but I also agree with
other people who have seen the "orbs" that,
[1] would
lanterns create a "v" formation and "fly" in such an organised way?]
and [2] although the lanterns are quite big, would we be
able to see them so
clearly when they appear to be at a
height that a helicopter would
fly?].
I will be interested on your thoughts/comments
regarding the above,
sincerely,
X
