Message: Whilst taking photo's of the moon from my back garden yesterday a high-flying aircraft came into the
scene, so I decided to include it in one shot. The clear blue sky and part moon was just right for me.
To my surprise, after loading the shots on to my PC, I saw the cigar shaped object beneath and to the right of the
aircraft. It did not appear on any of the other half-dozen shots I took - all within a few minutes. UFOs came to
mind, so I thought it best to report it.

Update; I replied to the witness that as with most photographs of this type, after studying the picture I had been unable to determine exactly what the object is.
After magification there are no tell-tale signs of wings or any other indication, and besides, this the object is far too big to be a blurred bug or bird etc,
so we can rule that avenue of idea out completely...thus what we have here remains an unidentified flying object in the true sense of the term.

Interesting reply from witness:

Hi, Ken,
Thank you for your thoughts on my photo, they were interesting. They did remind me of an experience way back in 1963.
I was at that time HoDept, Art/crafts, at Epping Secondary School, Essex and one morning one of my pupils, a 14yr old son of an Indian doctor and very well
spoken, came into class excited and somewhat shaken. He told me, and the small group of boys and girls gathered around him, that he had seen and actually
stood on the top of a flying saucer on his way to school!
He said that he'd noticed it in the tall grass of the field next to the lane adjoining the A11, some 300 yards from the edge of town, along which he walked to s
chool and co-incidentally along which I drove from Loughton where I lived at the time.
He added that when stood on the dome he tapped it with his foot and became frightened at sounds coming from within it, so he quickly got off it and ran a few
yards away before diving to the ground at the sound of whirring. When he looked around the saucer had gone.
I felt dubious, but there was something about the way he told the story and offered to run him home after school that day. We turned off the A11 into the lane
and after about 50 yards he asked me to stop. We got out and walked on to the grass. I was shocked to see the 20ft diameter circle of scorched grass.
The width of the ring was about 2ft and it remained there for a few days. I mentioned it to staff and some went along to see it.
The boy was with us for about a year before returning to India with his parents - I can't remember his name, but I can still see his face!
All the best.
