Please scroll mouse over the above image for enlargement and details of this, the latest,
(and possibly the most strangest), unidentified aerial object ever to have appeared on camera.
Taken by Southern Paranormal Investigations, West Leigh, Hants, UK  - 19/06/08
Nothing was seen at the time of taking this picture, (random shots were taken on the off-chance
using a a new Leica camera, model deluxe 3 D/LUX3), although another
SPI member claims to have briefly witnessed the very same object next day, flying above him at quite a high speed,
same general area 20/06/08.
Weather was still and dry both days.
What on earth is this thing? I would say that the object is certainly not a bug, nor a plane, or a balloon.
Even more mind-boggling is that the enlargement reveals obvious pitting or crater-like marks which can be seen on it's surface.
As described, the 'thing' was not visible, but was picked up by digital camera...what does this very important fact alone tell us?

The controvosy over this picture continues and has since hit Coast to Coast http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/page2617.html?theme=light
and we received an interesting message from a C2C reader:
Sirs; here is a copy of the report I sent to the coast-to-coast radio show web site.
"As an astronomer, I found the "Strange UFO Over West Leigh, Hants, UK" from Kenneth John Parsons to be not only interesting, but also something different from the usual run-of-the-mill.
I enlarged / enhanced /reprocessed the photo using Registax 4 ( a s/w program used by amateur astronomers to process webcam photos of the moon and planets) along with a freeware program call GIMP (which is like a freeware of Adobe Photoshop). Using unsharp masking and edge enhancement, here is what I got.
Clearskies and keep up the great work!

Also, amongst the many suggestions from C2C readers, 'UFO could be a helicopter', is a favorite theory.
Some people have cited that it is a Eurocopter NH90, perhaps a 101 or
possibly another type of heavy lift bird maybe a CH53.
Here is a frame grab of a Eurocopter as suggested, shown against the UFO: Nice try, and close with the tale/appendage,
but I don't think so! Where are the rotor blades for a start, and what about all those spots, holes or
craters on the surface of this thing?
We have jokingly nicknamed this "The Flying Whale", which it ressembles slightly more than
a chopper.
How about a blimp then?
Again, the 'skin' of this ufo and its general shape are so bizarre and bear
little relationship to any sort of man-made airship that I know of!

Closest yet in appearance to the UFO, (but still miles out in many respects), is the monstrous-looking NASA aircraft the "Guppy",
an example of which is included here called the Aero Spacelines 377SGT Super Guppy Turbine
(Guppy 201)
http://www.allaboutguppys.com/ ; but where's the wings on SPI's image, if their UFO is a Guppy?...and not forgetting either,
that unusual nothing was seen or heard at the time of shooting.

and what about the N941NA ?

...now set alongside our UFO, and not bad eh?, but not that convincing either.
